The deadline for Animal Care Protocol Submissions -- new, renewal, or amendments -- is Friday, February 7 for the February meeting. Ensure you always download the current forms from and use the most current Adobe Reader to complete forms. Only current forms will be accepted. At the next Graduate Research on Tap, join two 91̽»¨ graduate students for conversations about education and the environment. The event begins at 7 pm, Tuesday, January 21 in the Wave. Graduate Research on Tap is a new extension of our popular public discussion series; it features the work of 91̽»¨'s up-and-coming researchers. The first discussion will be led by Laura Phalen, an MSc student in Biology. The title of the discussion is "Do the oil sands make fish sick?" Gabriela Arias de Sanchez, a PhD student in Education, will lead the second discussion, entitled "Cracking the math code: how we talk numbers with young children." Sound interesting? Join us! Graduate Research on Tap is a series of public discussions with 91̽»¨ graduate student researchers. The 91̽»¨ Multicultural Choir and Song Circle would like to invite you to our first meeting of the new year on January 14 from 4:30 - 5:30 pm, to learn more about the choir and to join us in a song circle. Light refreshments will be provided. The Choir encourages both experienced singers and new singing enthusiasts to join us in learning world music and songs from different countries and cultures. This is an excellent networking opportunity for students and graduates seeking employment and career opportunities to meet with local recruiters and employers. 91̽»¨ is currently seeking local employers who are interested in taking part. Employers will have the opportunity to meet with current students and recent graduates, collect resumes, interview candidates in private sessions, and more! The [loverly] Robertson Library is getting a jump start on celebrating Valentine's Day! From now until February 14, the Library will be selling a small booklet (designed and made in-house) of love poems. The cost is $2.00 and all proceeds will go towards the support of developing our poetry collection. The booklet is available from the Circulation Desk. We look forward to you checking out this small gift -- for those special someones in your life. This booklet will likely never be created again, so don't miss out.

The 91̽»¨ men's hockey team will take on UdeM on Wednesday, January 15 at 7:00 pm. This is the first of four games versus rival UdeM, with each game having playoff implications. Deadline for registration of teams is Friday, January 10. Benefits of challenge include a healthier YOU, and access to the indoor track and some fitness classes at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre.
