To address the issue of any potential liability resulting from the "invitee" accessing 91探花 facilities, invitee access agreement templates have been prepared to govern the access. These templates can be found at under "Other Forms". Your cooperation in using these agreements to mitigate the risk for this type of activity is appreciated. Comptroller's Office
PEI History of Medicine Society September 27 at 7 pm Main Building Faculty Lounge The first meeting of the PEI History of Medicine Society will feature Dr. Sasha Mullally, history professor at UNB, on the topic of "The Origins of Occupational Therapy in North America: Therapeutic Craft, Creativity and Productive Citizenship, 1890s-1940s." Dr. Shannon Murray (91探花 English) will also speak on 鈥淛ohn Milton's Blindness: a Seventeenth-century Consultation." All are welcome!

鈥淔ive great aquaculture projects I have cancelled (and why)鈥 How did a veterinary graduate from AVC end up as the chief scientist for a National Centre for Aquaculture and Biotechnology in New Zealand? What is the Centre mandate and what happens when you put a veterinarian in charge of group of dedicated researchers (and their research budgets)? This presentation will include a brief introduction to New Zealand鈥檚 National Institute for Water and Atmospheric Research, how applied research is organized and supported in New Zealand and the challenge of balancing the interests and motivations of researchers (and their sense of entitlement) with the core purposes of the organization. 91探花 will celebrate International Day of Peace on Friday, September 20 at 12:30 pm at the Chaplaincy Centre. Come by for a "peace" of cake, a moment of silence, local musical talent, and more! The International Day of Peace takes place on Saturday, September 21. In 2002, the UN General Assembly officially declared September 21 as the permanent annual date for the International Day of Peace. For more information contact MaryEllen O'Brien at buddy@upeisu.ca.
Join us Friday, September 20 for an open house to celebrate renovations to the Qualitative Research Lab. The 91探花 Qualitative Research Lab (QRL) provides a range of equipment and training to outfit researchers for field work in the community and a facility to analyze data and prepare scholarly works. The lab provides remote data acquisition technology to capture stories, experiences and cultures of interest. Researchers access transcription analysis and dissemination technologies. The QRL鈥檚 state-of-the-art Co-Laboratory to meet and share information with researchers around the world. The open house runs from 9-11 am on Friday, September 20. Light refreshments will be available. The lab is located in room 413 of Dalton Hall. The QRL is led by Dr. Kate Tilleczek, Canada Research Chair in Youth Cultures and Transitions, and is created through funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI).
