To promote Open Access Week 2013, Mark Leggott, University Librarian, will present "Open Access @ 91̽»¨." The presentation will cover 91̽»¨'s repository IslandScholar, the 91̽»¨ 2012 Policy on Open Access & Dissemination of Research Output, opportunities for open data, and open textbooks. The presentation will be offered at the following times: Tuesday, October 22, 3:00-4:00 pm, Kelley Rm 234 Wednesday, October 23, 9:30-10:30 am, AVC Rm 286C Thursday, October 24, 10:00-11:00 am, Robertson Library Rm 265 All are welcome to attend!
Ensure you always download the current forms from and use Adobe Reader to complete forms. Only current forms will be accepted. Both the signed hard copy and electronic protocol submission must be submitted by the deadline date. ∙ Submit one copy of original protocol with signature to AVC - Annex, Biomedical Sciences Dept., Rm 2302. ∙ Submit an electronic copy to animalcare@upei.ca Those protocols received after the deadline will be reviewed the following month. After playing to a full house at the PEI Jazz & Blues Festival this past summer, Mike Murley returns to Charlottetown with his Septet performing October 19 at 7:30 pm at 91̽»¨â€™s Dr. Steel Recital Hall. Along with Murley on tenor saxophone, the band includes Tara Davidson, soprano and alto saxophone; Kevin Turcotte, trumpet; Terry Promane, trombone; David Braid, piano; Jim Vivian, bass; and Ted Warren, drums. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the 91̽»¨ Music Department at (902) 566-0507 or music@upei.ca, and they can also be purchased at the door. Tickets are $20/adults, and $15/students and seniors.
Beth Pearce, a 91̽»¨ PhD Chemistry student will present a seminar on Wednesday, October 16 at 12:30 pm. Pearce’s seminar is for the Capstone Business Course MMS 802. The seminar will be held in the Regis and Joan Duffy Research Centre, Lecture Theatre Room 212. All are welcome.
