Mohamed Hassan, PhD Physics visiting student will present a seminar on Thursday, March 20 at 12:30 pm in the Regis and Joan Duffy Research Centre, Room 212. The presentation is entitled 鈥淭heoretical Study on Nanotubes Heterojunctions Energies and their Potential Application as Nanodevices.鈥 All are welcome to attend.
On Tuesday, March 18 at 7:00 pm, a 鈥楽mart TV鈥 display unit will be officially unveiled at the 91探花 Chaplaincy Centre.
The new TV will be used to view pre-recorded services, inspirational videos, and telepresent services at other religious gatherings, and provide a service to those who cannot be physically present. The 鈥楽mart TV鈥 is capable of connecting directly to the Web to enhance collaboration and accessibility. The TV鈥檚 main use will be continued outreach and accessibility to all faith groups.
The 鈥楽mart TV鈥 was made possible through the Unitarian Fellowship of Prince Edward Island, 91探花鈥檚 Chaplaincy Centre, and Connection Point Christian Church.

The Board of Governors and the Senate of the 91探花 invite all members of the 91探花 community and the general public to the Installation of Dr. Don McDougall as the eighth Chancellor of the 91探花 on Sunday, March 30 at 2:00 pm in McMillan Hall, W.A. Murphy Student Centre.
Dr. McDougall is a leader who has been dedicated to the 91探花 since he attended St. Dunstan鈥檚 High School and University and continues to be so after graciously and enthusiastically accepting this voluntary role as Chancellor.

The Owen MacDonald Memorial Award - Awarded by the Senior Class of 鈥70 and succeeding Senior Classes
This award is presented to a graduating student for excellence and the outstanding contribution to the Senior Class in his/her final year of study.
The Crescam Serviendo Award (May I Grow By Serving) - Dedicated by Class of 鈥72
This award is presented to both a male and a female member of the Senior Class who has contributed most to the life of the University during their years attending 91探花.
The Class of 98 Leadership Award 鈥 Established by the Senior Class of 鈥98
This award is presented to a graduating student who has demonstrated leadership and has made a considerable contribution to Campus Life, particularly to the Senior Class.
The Senior Class Spirit Award
This award goes to someone who really exemplifies 91探花 pride. This is for someone who has taken pride in 91探花 during his or her years of attendance, and who shows and
overall love for the 91探花 spirit.
Life Executive Awards
The Life Executive will be responsible for the affairs of the Class of 2014, including maintaining communications with the Class of 2014 as trust officers
of Class funds, and as a liaison between Alumni and the Class of 2014. The Life Executive will also have the authority to appoint replacements when and
if needed.

The 91探花SU Spring General Election is currently underway! Candidate Debate is Tuesday, March 11 at 4:30 pm in The Wave, and voting occurs March 18 and 19 via students' campus login. Professors and staff alike are asked to encourage students to participate and vote! The next deadline for submitting Biosafety Protocols including new applications, renewals, and/or amendments, is Friday March 28. These protocols will be reviewed at the April meeting. Please ensure that you download and use the current forms from . Use Adobe Reader to complete the forms.
Submit one copy of the original protocol with signatures to 200 Kelley Memorial Building and send one e-copy to reb@upei.ca. Protocols received after the March deadline will be reviewed the following month.

Emiley MacKinnon, a fourth-year biology major, is conducting a research project on the presence of urban coyotes on Prince Edward Island as a part of the Canid Ecology and Behaviour class. On Thursday, March 20 from 4:00-6:30 pm, 91探花's Master of Arts in Island Studies will host an info session in Room 222, Kelley Memorial Building. The MAIS program offers the first interdisciplinary graduate program in international, comparative island studies in Canada, and one of the first of its kind in the world. This thesis-based program is designed for working professionals and those who want to develop expertise in island issues, whether it pertains to PEI or to other world islands. Many of the classes are offered in the evenings, which provides flexibility and convenience to fit a variety of schedules.
