The 91探花 Music Department Recital Series 2014-15 is pleased to present its first Student Showcase Recital featuring 91探花 Music Majors in performance. The recital will feature performances on trombone, clarinet, voice, saxophone, and flute, and will include works by Weber, Hindemith, Massenet, Strauss, Osborne, Handel, and others. The recital will take place at the Kirk of St. James on Pownal Street, Charlottetown at 7:30 pm tonight, Tuesday, November 18. Admission is FREE and all are welcome to attend.

91探花 Athletics and Recreation wants to show its appreciation to all faculty and staff by offering them FREE admission to all varsity games this weekend! The women's hockey team play tonight against UdeM, and tomorrow night against STU at the MacLauchlan Arena. Both game times are 7:00 pm. The past and present state of Island land use policy will be the subject of a public symposium to be held at 91探花鈥檚 MacKinnon Auditorium, Room 242, Don and Marion McDougall Hall, on Thursday, November 27 at 7:00 pm. The symposium will begin with presentations by two veteran observers of Island public life over the past 30 years, Jean-Paul Arsenault and Ian Petrie. Mr. Arsenault鈥檚 talk is entitled 鈥淔actors Affecting Land Use Decisions: What Were They Thinking?鈥 and Mr. Petrie will address the topic 鈥淲hy Farmers Fight Regulations.鈥 Descriptions of their talks can be found at Members of the public are cordially invited to attend. 91探花 students, staff, and faculty are invited to take part in the 91探花SU's Stach-ino Night, TONIGHT (November 14) from 10:00 pm-2:00 am in the W.A. Murphy Student Centre's McMillan Hall. Money raised will go directly to the Movember campaign. The wet/dry event is semi-formal and tickets are $10 each. You will receive $250 in poker chips with your ticket purchase. For an extra $10, you can receive an additional $250 in poker chips; and for an extra $20, you can receive an additional $600 in poker chips. Prizes will be auctioned using your winnings at midnight. Patrons under the age of 19 must present a 91探花 or Holland College ID. A Movember-themed photobooth will be on site to capture Movember memories!
Ethics protocols that involve 鈥榤ore than minimal risk鈥 must be reviewed by the full 91探花 Research Ethics Board. However, the 91探花 Research Ethics Board does not meet in December, so the next deadline for submitting these protocols is Friday January 2, 2015. They will be reviewed at the January meeting. Protocols involving 鈥榤ore than minimal risk鈥 that are received after January 2 will be reviewed at the February meeting. Other ethics protocol submissions, including new applications that do not involve 鈥榤ore than minimal risk鈥, renewals, and amendments may be submitted at any time.
