A HST presentation will be held on Monday, March 11 from 2:00-3:00 pm in
Bill and Denise Andrew Hall 142. The purpose of the presentation is to provide an overview
of HST, to address the impact on 91̽»¨, and to walk through the implications
of the transition rules which are in place from November 8, 2012-March
31, 2013. The presentation will be given by Allan Hughes, Director of
Financial Services, Deidre Smith, Manager of the Accounting Office, and
Carolyn Garro, Supervisor in Accounts Payable.

The 91̽»¨ Peace Project, led by 91̽»¨ student Blythe Relf-Phypers, will host a
celebration of peace event. The project brings to life the theory of global
peace into practice by creating awareness around the Chaplaincy Centre as a
peaceful, culturally safe, and inclusive place to practice spiritual
beliefs. In recognition, a Peace Pole will be unveiled.

encouraged to attend to develop networks with local companies and
organizations that will help our students and graduates find careers. Some
companies and organizations that are attending include BioVectra,
CareerBeacon.com and Skills PEI.
To assist students in preparing for the career fair, Career Services and
the Writing Centre will be working together to put on a resume drop-in
session to help anyone looking for resume advice. This session will be
offered Monday, March 4 from 10 am-2 pm in the lounge area of Student
Affairs.

third-year students Nadine Haddad, soprano, and Morgan Wagner, soprano,
assisted by Frances McBurnie, piano.
The recital program will include works by J. S. Bach, Enrique Granados,
Henry Purcell, Richard Strauss, Gioacchino Rossini, Antonio Vivaldi, and
Hugo Wolf, as well as traditional and jazz selections.
After months of preparation, Nadine and Morgan look forward to sharing many

globally—a number of annual Presidential Recognition Awards of Merit for
91̽»¨ faculty and librarians and staff have been created to acknowledge their
efforts and achievements, and to celebrate their contributions to our
success as an institution.
Up to 10 Presidential Awards of Merit for 91̽»¨ Faculty and Librarians and
four Presidential Awards of Merit for 91̽»¨ Staff will be awarded in 2013
and presented during a celebration of colleagues to be held on Monday, May
6, 2013. Location and time will be announced soon.
Ryan Johnston, Director of Human Resources will lead the process and chair
the committees to select award recipients.
