As a Workplace Relations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in conducting workplace assessments, facilitating mediation sessions, and implementing conflict management strategies to promote a healthy and productive work environment. Your responsibilities will include identifying sources of conflict, mediating disputes, and developing proactive solutions to improve workplace relations. You will collaborate with the HR team, leadership, employees, and unions to address and resolve workplace issues in a fair and constructive manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct workplace assessments to identify areas of conflict and tension
  • Facilitate mediation sessions between employees or teams to resolve disputes
  • Develop and implement conflict management strategies and policies
  • Provide coaching and support to leadership and employees on conflict resolution techniques
  • Monitor and follow up on conflict resolution outcomes to ensure effectiveness
  • Collaborate with HR and EDI teams to create a positive and inclusive workplace culture

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field
  • Proven experience in workplace assessments, mediation, or conflict resolution
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain neutral and objective in resolving conflicts
  • Knowledge of conflict management techniques and best practices
  • Certification in mediation or conflict resolution
