Camp Counselor (Up to 12 positions) - Undergraduate Student - Faculty of Education *Reposted*
$20.75 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay

The Faculty of Education is seeking up to twelve (12) Undergraduate Student Assistants - Camp Counselors to work at an Early Numeracy and Literacy summer camp.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in training and program development sessions
- Plan and deliver project-based tasks that integrate numeracy and literacy activities in summer camps for children ages 4 to 9 years
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Successful candidate will be enrolled in a 91̽»¨ undergraduate program
- Knowledge of play-based and arts-based pedagogies
- Previous experience and or training with early years and early childhood education
- Knowledge or early numeracy and early literacy development
- Previous experience with summer camps
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Understanding of inquiry and project-based learning is considered an asset
- A Bachelor of Education degree will be considered an asset
A valid driver’s license and transportation are required to travel to different sites for the summer camps. Students will receive a mileage compensation.
Priority will be given to 91̽»¨ students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
