$50,316 to $55,319 per annum, prorated to time and term, as per CUPE 1870
January 15, 2024 to January 14, 2026 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding, and departmental requirements)
The Office of Recruitment and First Year Advisement is seeking applications from qualified individuals to provide administrative support to the Recruitment and Admissions unit. Reporting to the Director, the incumbent will assist with processing 91̽»¨ international undergraduate applications and documentation for student status verification. Preference will be given to applicants who have had experience using 91̽»¨â€™s UIS system, and experience using the current 91̽»¨ information system – Colleague and Recruit. This position is instrumental in processing student applications and is an integral part of our office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process international student documentation requests for work permit applications, study permit renewals, and other immigration purposes. Make sure accurate information is provided to facilitate student requests in accordance with IRCC policies
- Communicate with recruitment partners about student applications and admissions decisions. Part of the team processing student applications, including data entry, decision processing, communication, transfer credit processing, etc.
- Verify application documents for authenticity and accuracy. Follow up on incomplete application files and leads upload
- Scan and upload documents into the student information system, and
maintain electronic storage of documents - Communication with prospective students, parents, and agents to answer inquiries
- Support other student recruiters/advisers in the FYAC office on follow-up on application, deferrals, or student payment questions
- Support international student advisers regarding student admission status, student payment, pre-departure preparations, etc.
- Sound knowledge of university regulations and policies
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 graduation plus completion of a recognized post-secondary program
in a related area is required plus relevant work experience, preferably in a
University environment - An undergraduate degree would be considered a strong asset
- Experience with international academic documents and credentials preferred
- Ability to establish priorities, multi-task and work under pressure to deliver
timely and exceptional services - Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal
supervision - Attention to detail with system knowledge. Experience in the use of 91̽»¨
Information systems, Colleague and Recruit, would be a strong asset - Adherence to confidentiality requirements
