PA Level 7 - Audio Visual Operations Coordinator - Information Technology Systems and Services

IT Systems & Services is seeking a motivated, self-starter to join our team as an Audio Visual Operations Coordinator. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this position coordinates 91探花鈥檚 Audio Visual systems, operations and projects. 91探花鈥檚 Audio Visual systems span a wide spectrum of size and complexity; from basic teaching and learning technologies to large and sophisticated performance venues and medical grade systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate the operations and projects associated with 91探花鈥檚 Audio Visual systems through the following activities:
- Assist with Audio Visual systems requirements, design and implementation for projects ranging in diversity and complexity. This requires coordination with internal/external stakeholders and vendors.
- Coordinating the day-to-day audio visual operations, including some after-hours and/or off-site support for special events.
- Oversight of the duties of audio visual technicians
- Assisting with the procurement of audio visual systems and equipment, including RFP design
- Assigning and prioritizing help desk requests from 91探花 staff, faculty, students and guests
- Assuring users are provided efficient and timely first and second level support by monitoring user requests and following up with assigned personnel
- Assisting with staff scheduling to ensure coverage during normal business hours and on-call support as required
- Establishing and ensuring adherence to ITSS best practices (i.e. account provisioning, change management, help desk tickets etc.)
- Assisting with development and implementation of Audio Visual technical standards/specifications
- Providing operational reports and analyzes service metrics to develop improvement plans and support continuous transformation of service delivery
- Providing hands on staff support for administrative tasks and projects relative to Audio Visual Systems
- Isolating problem trends and collaborates with stakeholders to develop long term solutions
- Interfacing with users of technology, employing a high degree of tact and diplomacy to promote a positive image of the department. Resolve problem situations in a professional manner. Accurately communicates pertinent information to create a work environment that lends itself to the best interests of departmental personnel and customer service.
- Performing duties in a cost-effective manner to avoid waste of resources without jeopardizing quality of care and service
- Maintaining competency and enhances professional growth and development through continuing education
- Documenting work performed using established departmental methods
- Providing leadership by projecting a positive attitude, ensuring accountability and ownership within the team, and demonstrating a lead while serving approach to all aspects of the role
QUALIFICATIONS:
Universty degree in the field of computer science, information technology, or management information systems, and three years relevant work experience working with enterprise Audio Visual systems in an operational environment. An equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
Assets
- Professional certifications in the field of Audio Visual systems (e.g. AV CTS, ANP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (e.g. MS Teams)
- Experience with project management practices
- Experience working in an academic institution
- Experience managing an IT service/help desk environment
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills
- Experience in developing and implementing operational processes
- Experience supervising a team of Audio Visual technicians
- Demonstrable customer-service oriented experience with a problem-solving attitude
- Ability to manage multiple high priority initiatives in a fast paced, technical environment
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and determine root cause to prevent future occurrences
- Ability to perform under stress, deal with persons acting under stress and adapt when confronted with emergency situations
- Aptitude for collaboration and teamwork
- Administration in a Microsoft Active Directory environment
