The Department of Student Affairs is seeking applicants for a part-time (20 hours/week) Food Bank Coordinator. Reporting to the Manager of Student Culture and Community Standards, the Food Bank Coordinator is the lead in coordinating donations, volunteers, and mechanisms to help address food insecurity among 91探花 students. While housed with Student Affairs, this position works with an advisory committee made up of stakeholders from around campus, including the 91探花 Student Union, Chaplaincy, Development and Alumni Engagement and the entire campus community recognizes the important resources offered to students through the campus food bank.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing creative ways to serve the student population
- Hiring and supervising the student assistant
- Ensuring adequate food supplies weekly in the foodbank
- Assuring financial responsibility, managing budget, tracking donations
- Coordinating volunteer support
- Working with ITSS for protocols for tracking usage
- Networking with the donor community on and off campus, with the support of the advisory committee
- Preparing reports for advisory committee
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a team player who has a keen eye for detail and takes the initiative to identify and solve problems
- Must be able to think creatively and be willing to share and help implement new ideas
- Will work to develop a strong team with student staff assistants and volunteers to increase the profile of the food bank on campus and assist in overall operations
- The Campus Food Bank serves a diverse student population, including many from marginalized and equity deserving groups. The successful candidate will be committed to equity, diversity and inclusion as seen through a lens of intersectionality
- Experience in the not-for-profit world as management, including budgeting experience, supervising staff and volunteers, software skills and logistics experience
- Access to a reliable form of transportation for shopping
