ADS Level 5 - Central Printing Technician - Robertson Library

The Robertson Library is seeking a qualified person with technical and administrative skills to work in the Central Printing Office. The individual will report to the University Librarian and will provide printing services to the campus. The successful candidate would be expected to demonstrate judgment, flexibility, and initiative, to implement policies and procedures set by the University.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process and respond to campus printing requests
Create printed products using a variety of equipment including printers, copiers, paper cutters, laminators, staplers, etc. within a production environment
Create and track invoicing and monitor and reconcile expenditures
Track inventory of consumables (paper, ink, toner, etc.) and order supplies
Contact vendors and technical support as needed
Use design and equipment specific software as needed
Adhere to University policies
Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have:
A relevant 2 year diploma or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and related work experience
Experience using equipment (copiers, cutters, laminators, punches, etc.) in a print production environment
Experience with 91̽»¨ workflows and invoicing system
Demonstrated strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
Experience carrying out detail oriented work
Effective software application skills including proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Adobe or similar design software
Able to perform bending/lifting tasks, and to safely handle heavy items
Bachelor's degree from a recognized post- secondary institution
Demonstrated ability to prioritize
Work experience in a university environment
An open attitude towards new technology
