The following message was distributed by email on July 9, 2021, to students, staff, and faculty on behalf of the Office of the Vice-President Administration and Finance.

Dear Members of the University Community,

Today, during a regular COVID-19 update, the PEI Chief Public Health Office (PEI-CPHO) lifted the mandatory requirement to wear masks in indoor public spaces in the province.

Therefore, as of 12 noon Friday, July 9, 2021, the 91探花 updated its guidance on mask wearing, moving from a mandatory measure back to a strong recommendation, which aligns with the current guidance from the PEI Chief Public Health Office:

91探花 strongly recommends that a non-medical mask be worn in 91探花 campus buildings when a physical distance of two metres/six feet (2m/6ft) cannot be maintained.

91探花 continues to work with the PEI-CPHO in developing and updating its COVID-19 guidance for the 2021 Fall Academic Semester and will communicate updates and post them to 91探花鈥檚 Response to COVID-19 website as they become available.

Sincerely,

Jackie Podger
