Dis-Abling Challenges, Redefining Success: The University 100 Vern Smitheram and Andy Robb Leadership Development Series 2017
The next presentation in the University 100 Vern Smitheram and Andy Robb Leadership Development Series 2017 features Elyse Cottrell. Cottrell will present 鈥淒is-Abling Challenges, Redefining Success鈥 on Wednesday, March 1 at 1:30 pm in 91探花鈥檚 Chaplaincy Centre.
Elyse Cottrell is the first 91探花 student to be awarded a prestigious 3M National Student Fellowship through the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE). The 3M National Student Fellowship honours up to ten full-time students at Canadian post-secondary institutions who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in their lives and their post-secondary institutions. These students embrace a vision of education that enhances their academic experience and beyond.
Cottrell鈥檚 talk will touch on her work as a disability rights advocate and the importance of access to services, and inclusion, for all. She will also discuss the 3M National Student Fellowship program.
