The 91̽»¨ community was saddened to hear of the passing of former economics faculty member Robin Neill who passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29 at the age of 82. After retiring as a full-time economics professor at Carleton University in Ottawa, Professor Neill came to 91̽»¨ in the fall of 1996. He was appointed adjunct professor of economics for a three-year term, and then became a sessional professor teaching two courses per term. He was loved by his students, always available for extra help and consultations, and was known for writing numerous reference letters for his students. Professor Neill was also an active researcher, and just recently before his passing received a request to write a review for an economics journal. Our sympathies are with his wife of 42 years, Sharon, daughter Natalie, and all of his family and friends he leaves behind. A funeral was held in Charlottetown for Professor Neill on July 3.
Effective July 1, the Department of Student Affairs' hours of operation will be Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. If you have any questions, please contact Krystal Mayne, Reception, at 566-0488 or Treena Smith, Manager, at 566-0674.
