In mid-January, 91探花 will host a roundtable of interdisciplinary graduate students to discuss the role of the social sciences, arts, and humanities in stimulating and advancing innovation in Canada.
This roundtable will be a conversation amongst interdisciplinary 91探花 graduate students, and led by 91探花 graduate students. Key points, themes, and insights from the conversation will be captured, and translated into a final report co-written by graduate students and 91探花 staff, which will add 91探花鈥檚 graduate student voices to the national conversation in a final overall project report of all 12 participating post-secondary institutions.
We are seeking current 91探花 graduate students to serve as facilitators (2), reporters (2), and participants (10).
Details of the event, expected time commitment, responsibilities, and compensation for each role are outlined in the Google form. Current graduate students from any program who are interested in any of the roles are invited to submit an expression of interest (EOI) via the Google form:
EOI deadlines:

91探花 honours its rich heritage and traditions by acknowledging members of the campus community who have contributed to its mission in an exceptional way by naming them "Founders." This year, the University will honour three 91探花 employees who worked at the Robertson Library. This is especially fitting as 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the conception and construction of the library, which was officially opened in 1975.
Merritt Crockett, the Robertson Library鈥檚 first University Librarian, and long-time staff member and community leader Leo Cheverie, who passed away earlier this year, will be recognized posthumously as Founders. Betty Jeffery, Librarian Emerita, the first woman to be president of the 91探花 Faculty Association, will also be honoured as a 2023 Founder.
The Recognition of Founders Ceremony will take place on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 1:30 pm at the Atlantic Veterinary College (rooms 286A and 287 N). All are welcome to attend!
